Which under-bridge pickup does the EQ-2019 work with?

It was made to work with under-bridge crystals and designed to work without problems with any type of under-bridge pickup.

Can it replace a Fishman Classic 4?

Yes. The control plate is 79 mm x 53 mm, the same as the Fishman Classic 4, so it fits in its place without modifying the saz. The cut-out template is in the user manual.

Is soldering required for installation?

No. The under-bridge pickup cable connects to a special screw terminal, and the battery and output jack are attached with sockets.

What controls does the EQ-2019 have?

The 6-band graphic equalizer has Bass, Middle, Contour, Contour Freq., Treble and Presence pots, plus a master volume and a phase (Phase) button. The Contour and Contour Freq. pots work together to adjust the fullness and brightness of the sound.

How long does the battery last?

The circuit draws about 2 mA and runs for about 300 hours on a 9V alkaline battery. When the battery voltage drops below 6.5 volts, the LOW BAT LED stays lit, and the battery needs to be replaced.

What should I watch for when plugging in the jack?

Turn off the mixer or amp output before plugging in the jack; otherwise the pop it makes can damage the speakers. When the jack is plugged in, a brief flash of the LOW BAT LED shows that the connection is secure and the circuit is working.

Is it OK to turn one pot all the way down?

It is not recommended. If one of the equalizer pots is turned fully down, the overall gain of the circuit is affected and the other sounds cannot be fully reproduced.
