Frequently asked questions

Does the Pitch Shifter change the tuning of the saz?

No, the saz's tuning stays the same. In Pitch+ and Pitch- modes, the LEVEL pot shifts the sound electronically 0-7 semitones up or down; at 0 the sound passes through unshifted. In these modes, the MIX pot must be set to WET.

Which effects are there?

There are seven modes: Bypass, Pitch+, Pitch-, Octaver, Phaser, Oct. & Phaser and Distortion. The MODE button selects the mode. The LEVEL pot sets the effect intensity, and the MIX pot sets the blend between the clean and effected sound.

What does the LEVEL pot do in Bypass mode?

With LEVEL at 0, the saz sound goes to the output unprocessed. At any position other than 0, it adds a doubling effect to the sound.

Does distortion mode give a teber sound?

Yes. Distortion mode creates a teber effect, especially on saz with a single pickup.

How long does the charge last?

The 2000 mAh lithium battery charges in 2-3 hours with a 5-volt phone charger with a Type-C input, and runs for 20-30 hours. When the red BAT LED lights, the battery needs charging. The CHARGE LED glows red while charging and turns blue when the battery is full.

What is the difference between the box model and the on-instrument model?

The box model is used as a separate box outside the saz and measures 9 x 5.5 x 6 cm. The on-instrument model is mounted on the saz and measures 9 x 5.5 x 5 cm. The cut-out template for the on-instrument model is in the user manual.
